Carbendazim belongs to the methyl benzimidazole carbamate, or MBC, fungicides in FRAC Group 1. HPM describes Batista as protective and curative, with absorption through roots and green tissues followed by upward, or acropetal, movement.   2. Cell-division disruption: FRAC classifies Carbendazim in Group 1. It interferes with beta-tubulin assembly and fungal mitosis.
  3. Growth inhibition: HPM states that it inhibits germ-tube development, appressorium formation and mycelial growth.
  4. Resistance stewardship: FRAC describes resistance to MBC fungicides as common in many fungal species and notes positive cross-resistance within the group. Thiophanate-methyl, Benomyl, Thiabendazole and other Group 1 products are not different-group rotations.

How to applyApplication and Safety
  • Apply as a foliar spray, preferably in the morning or evening during clear, rain-free weather. Avoid application in high wind.
  • Dilute the measured formulation first in a small quantity of water and stir well. Add the remaining required water and mix again. A knapsack sprayer with a flat-fan nozzle or a foot sprayer is listed on the label.

  • If eyes are exposed, flush with plenty of clean water. Wash contaminated skin with soap and water. After ingestion, rinse the mouth and never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical help and show the label. No specific antidote is known; treatment is symptomatic.
