Dhanuka Barrier contains Metribuzin 70% WP, a selective herbicide registered in India for specified weeds in soybean, wheat, sugarcane, potato and tomato.
Metribuzin is absorbed mainly through roots and also through leaves. HRAC classifies it in Group 5: photosystem-II D1 Serine-264 binders. It interrupts photosynthetic electron transport in susceptible weeds. Barrier may be used pre-emergence or post-emergence only where the crop-specific directions below permit that timing.

- Use suitable equipment: apply evenly with a knapsack or foot-operated sprayer fitted with a flat-fan or flood-jet nozzle.
- Avoid overlap and drift: overlapping swaths can overdose the crop; keep spray away from neighbouring fields and water bodies.
- Protect the treated layer: for pre-emergence use, prepare a clod-free field and do not disturb the soil after application.
