Bango Herbicide by Crystal Crop Protection

Quizalofop-ethyl 10% EC for the listed grassy weeds in soybean.

What it controls: Lovegrass, crabgrass, wild finger grass, viper grass, barnyard grass and browntop millet in soybean.

When to use it: Follow the supplied Bango pack for the permitted crop and weed stages.

What to include: The exact 10% EC programme, matching water and a suitable rain-free period.

Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits

  • 🫘Soybean-focused scope: The manufacturer’s recommendation identifies soybean, not every broadleaf crop.
  • 🌾Six named grass targets: The listed scope covers several grass-weed problems rather than an unspecified all-weed claim.
  • 🌱Systemic action: The herbicide moves within susceptible weeds after uptake.
  • 🌦️A stated rainfast period: Crystal gives a four-hour rainfastness figure, helping with weather planning under the pack’s conditions.
  • 🎯A defined grass-control mechanism: The Group 1 ingredient acts on a growth process in susceptible grasses.

Technical Specifications

Parameter Details

How It Works: Mode of Action

Bango contains quizalofop-ethyl at 10% in an EC formulation. A 5% product or a mixture containing quizalofop is not the same formulation and does not supply interchangeable directions.

  1. The herbicide moves within the weed: Its systemic action carries the active ingredient within susceptible treated plants.
  2. Production of essential fats is blocked: Quizalofop-ethyl blocks an enzyme called ACCase, needed to make fats used in new plant cells.
  3. Grass growth is disrupted: Without normal new-cell development, susceptible grasses cannot continue healthy growth. This does not establish control of broadleaf weeds or sedges.

Use suitable alternatives with different mode-of-action groups as part of crop-specific resistance management. A different brand name is not necessarily a different mode of action.

Target Crops & Pests

Crop Target Pest(s)
Soybean

Grassy weeds

  • Lovegrass
  • Crabgrass
  • Wild finger grass
  • Viper grass
  • Barnyard grass
  • Browntop millet

Do not extend this recommendation to cotton, groundnut, pulses, rice or other crops based on a different quizalofop formulation. Broadleaf weeds and sedges are not included in this Bango scope.

Dosage & Application Guide

¹ Printed manufacturer reference. ² Separate CIBRC formulation reference. These are not quantities to combine.

Crystal’s dose cell prints millilitres, but its heading says grams per acre. Confirm the correct unit and complete application programme on the current Bango pack before use.

Dosage per Acre, Litre, & Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI)

Crop Dose (ml / Acre) Water (L / Acre) Dose (ml / Litre) PHI (Days)
Soybean¹ 150–180 See note* See note* See note*
Soybean² Approx. 151.8–182.1
375–450 ml/ha
Approx. 121.4–202.3
300–500 L/ha
See note* 69–103

Acre figures are approximate conversions; the original hectare quantities remain shown. The reference applies only to the listed soybean grasses.

The 69–103-day interval is a generic formulation reference, not permission to choose the shortest wait. Confirm the current Bango pack’s harvest directions. Grams and millilitres are not interchangeable.

*Confirm the current pack’s product volume, application route, crop and weed stages, water, equipment, re-entry and repeat-treatment directions before use. The manufacturer’s printed range alone and the separate formulation row are not complete application instructions. No per-litre or pump dose is supplied.

How to Apply: Best Practices

  • Identify the crop and weeds: Check that the crop is soybean and the problem matches one of the six listed grasses. A mixed infestation may include weeds outside this scope.
  • Confirm the permitted stage: Obtain the crop stage, weed-leaf stage and application route from the current Bango pack. Do not borrow a fixed days-after-sowing rule from another product.
  • Measure the matching programme: Read the product quantity and water volume together on the supplied pack. Do not substitute a 5% formulation’s quantity or turn a gram figure into a millilitre figure.
  • Plan around rain: Crystal states four hours for rainfastness. Follow the pack’s weather restrictions and do not treat this as permission to apply in rain or onto unsuitable foliage.
  • Avoid unapproved mixtures: Do not add another herbicide, fertilizer or adjuvant unless the exact combination is permitted. A jar test alone cannot establish crop safety or approval.
  • Plan harvest and field access: Confirm the exact harvest interval, re-entry restrictions and repeat-application limits on the current pack. Avoid repeated reliance on Group 1 alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bango control all weeds in soybean? No. This description covers the six named grassy weeds. It does not claim control of broadleaf weeds or sedges.

Can I use the dose of quizalofop-ethyl 5% EC?No. Bango is 10% EC. Different strengths and combinations require their own directions; do not double, halve or otherwise substitute doses without the exact label.

Are the two dose rows two separate treatments? No. One preserves Crystal’s printed volume range; the other is a qualified generic formulation reference. Confirm the supplied pack’s millilitre quantity and complete programme before measuring product.

What does four-hour rainfastness mean?It is Crystal’s stated period relevant to rain after treatment under the pack’s conditions. It is not a guarantee for rain during application, wet foliage or every weather situation.

Can soybean be harvested after 69 days?Do not automatically choose 69 days from the generic 69–103-day range. Check the current Bango pack for the interval applicable to its complete programme, and observe its separate re-entry directions.
