HRAC classifies Pinoxaden in Group 1, the inhibitors of acetyl-CoA carboxylase, commonly abbreviated ACCase. This enzyme is required for fatty-acid production in susceptible plants. After foliar uptake, the active ingredient moves toward the growing points of the grass weed. Disrupting lipid production stops normal development of new tissue and leads to progressive weed decline.

The mode-of-action group is important for stewardship. Repeated reliance on a Group 1 herbicide can select resistant weeds. Do not describe a same-active Related item as a resistance rotation. Where a different-group standalone option is agronomically suitable, its own Indian label must independently match the wheat crop, weed spectrum and application timing. No tank-mix recommendation is made on this page.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. Do not convert the hectare rate into a universal per-litre or per-pump dose because the approved water range is 225–300 L/ha. Measure the field area, formulation and water accurately and follow the current Axirex pack.

• Confirm the target: apply only in wheat when the weed is one of the two grasses listed on the current label. Axirex is not a substitute for a broadleaf-weed treatment.
• Match the timing: the PPQS use table states 30–35 days after sowing. Check the physical pack for the corresponding weed-leaf stage and all crop-condition restrictions.
• Use the labelled rate: apply 800–900 ml/ha in 225–300 L water/ha. Do not guess a one-tank dilution.
• Obtain uniform coverage: follow the pack instructions for the recommended knapsack sprayer, nozzle, spray height and operating pressure.

The official Axirex page classifies the product as caution/slightly toxic and states that no specific antidote is known; treatment is symptomatic. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing and avoid breathing spray mist or vapour. Wear every item of protective equipment stated on the current pack, do not eat, drink or smoke while handling or spraying, and wash thoroughly after work.

Keep the original closed container locked away from food, feed, children and animals in a dry, ventilated storage area. Prevent spray, wash water and empty containers from contaminating water bodies. If exposure occurs, follow the first-aid directions on the pack and obtain medical attention promptly. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
