Nichino Audit Fungicide: Product Overview

Nichino Audit contains Propineb 70% in a WP formulation. Nichino describes it as a broad-spectrum contact fungicide for preventive and protective treatment.

Propineb is classified by FRAC in Group M 03, covering dithiocarbamates and related fungicides with multi-site contact activity. Audit therefore belongs in a crop disease-management plan as a surface protectant, used only on the crop and disease printed on the current Indian pack.

Nichino lists eight crops for Audit: apple, pomegranate, potato, chilli, tomato, grapes, rice and cotton. The Government of India PPQS table confirms the corresponding Propineb 70% WP uses and supplies crop-specific formulation concentration or hectare rate, water guidance and pre-harvest interval. A single generic dose must not replace those separate directions.

FRAC describes M 03 fungicides as chemicals with multi-site contact activity. Propineb stays in the protectant category and should be applied so that the intended crop surface receives uniform coverage. The classification should be written as a FRAC code, not an IRAC code.

Multi-site classification does not justify unlimited repeat use. Follow the current Audit label and local disease-management advice. If a standalone rotation product is needed, select a different FRAC group whose own Indian label covers the same crop, pathogen and application timing. Do not infer compatibility, and do not present any Related or Upsell item as a tank-mix partner.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. “Not specified” does not mean zero days. Use the current Audit pack as the final authority. For the first six crops, PPQS gives concentration-based directions and variable water volume, so do not invent a fixed tank, pump or hectare conversion.

  • Confirm the crop, disease and application timing on the current physical Audit pack before preparing the spray.
  • Measure the formulation rate for that crop and use the label's water and application-equipment directions. Coverage requirements vary with crop stage, canopy and tree size.
  • Follow the current pack for wettable-powder mixing order, agitation, spray equipment, maximum applications, weather restrictions and re-entry.
  • No universal per-litre dose applies to rice or cotton, and concentration-based orchard directions must not be converted into a fixed acre dose without the correct water volume.
  • No tank-mix recommendation is made. Apply any standalone alternative separately and only under its own current Indian label.
