Parijat Audicia Isoprothiolane 40% EC Rice Fungicide

Audicia is a systemic fungicide containing Isoprothiolane 40% EC. Its approved Indian use is the control of blast disease in rice. Parijat describes protective and curative positioning and identifies leaf blast, node blast and neck blast as the disease stages addressed by the product.

This page keeps the recommendation within the verified Indian label. It does not extend Audicia to another crop or disease and does not convert the hectare rate into an unsupported per-acre, per-litre or spray-pump dose. The current physical pack is the final authority for the exact SKU, batch, application and safety directions.

Why farmers choose itKey Product Benefits
  • Label-approved rice blast use: the PPQS label identifies rice blast as the approved crop-and-disease combination.
  • Systemic fungicide: Isoprothiolane 40% EC is identified as a systemic fungicide on the Indian label.
  • Blast-stage coverage: Parijat describes activity against leaf, node and neck blast when the product is applied correctly.
  • Preventive or early intervention: Parijat advises preventive use or application at the very beginning of disease, at an economic threshold of 3–5 lesions per leaf.
  • Clear statutory intervals: the verified label provides both a 24-hour re-entry period and a 60-day pre-harvest interval.

Product scienceHow Audicia Works

The FRAC Code List 2025 places Isoprothiolane in FRAC Group 6, mode-of-action code F2, within the dithiolanes. The listed target-site description is phospholipid biosynthesis / methyltransferase. This current FRAC classification should be used instead of describing Isoprothiolane as a sterol-biosynthesis inhibitor.

Because Audicia is a Group 6 fungicide, repeated use should follow resistance-management discipline. When another rice-blast treatment is justified by disease pressure and the crop programme, choose a separately applied product with a different FRAC group whose own current Indian label covers the crop, disease and application method. Product recommendations are standalone choices; they are not tank-mix directions.

How to applyApplication Guidance
  • Use as a foliar spray from the seedling stage to panicle emergence. The PPQS leaflet says to apply as soon as disease appears; Parijat also permits preventive or very-early use at 3–5 lesions per leaf.
  • Parijat advises a second spray after 10–15 days depending on disease incidence. The statutory leaflet permits 2–3 foliar sprays depending on disease pressure. Follow the current Audicia pack for the programme applicable to the field.
  • Add the measured label dose to a small quantity of water and stir well with a stick. Add the remaining required water and mix again. Maintain agitation and spray uniformly over the foliage.
  • Use high-volume foliar equipment such as a compression knapsack, foot, high- or low-volume, or battery-operated sprayer with a hollow-cone nozzle as directed. High-concentration application through low- or ultra-low-volume equipment is dangerous and should be avoided.
  • Apply preferably in the morning or evening. Do not spray during rainy, windy or hot sunny conditions, and do not apply at crop maturity or just before harvest.
Use with careSafety, First Aid and Storage

Wear protective clothing while mixing and spraying. Avoid inhalation, and do not eat, drink, smoke or chew during application. Wash exposed body parts and contaminated clothing after use. Keep people out of the treated area for 24 hours. Avoid use where bees, fish, livestock, game, wild birds or other animals may be harmed, and avoid application near aquaculture.

Possible poisoning symptoms include nervousness, anxiety, tremor, convulsions and allergic manifestations. If swallowed, rinse the mouth of a conscious person and give one or two glasses of water; give nothing by mouth to an unconscious person, call a doctor and do not induce vomiting unless directed by the attending physician. For inhalation, move the person to fresh air and seek medical help if breathing is difficult. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water, including hair and under fingernails. Rinse eyes gently with water for at least 15 minutes and consult an eye specialist if symptoms persist. There is no specific antidote; treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

Store the fungicide separately from food, under lock and key, in a cool, dry and ventilated room. Dispose of the empty container, equipment washings and surplus material exactly as directed on the current leaflet.

Useful detailsImportant Use Notice

Read and follow the current Audicia label and leaflet before use. Do not use the product for any crop, disease, rate, interval or application method not stated on the pack. The information above is label-based guidance and does not replace professional advice for a field-specific disease programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Audicia used for?

Its verified Indian use is blast control in rice. Do not use it on another crop or disease unless the current pack label specifically permits that use.

What is the Audicia dose?

The label rate is 750 ml formulation per hectare in 500–1000 litres of water, providing 300 g active ingredient per hectare.

What are the waiting and re-entry periods?

The pre-harvest interval is 60 days and the re-entry period is 24 hours after spraying.

Can Audicia be tank-mixed with a rotation fungicide?

No tank mix is recommended here. If another treatment is needed, select a different-FRAC product whose own label covers the use and apply it separately under that label.
