IIL Atrazine 50% WP Pre-Emergence Herbicide

The product is placed soon after planting, before the listed weeds become established. Germinating susceptible weeds take up Atrazine from the treated zone. Photosystem II inhibition then prevents normal energy production and growth. A uniform application can reduce early weed pressure, but skips, overlaps, unsuitable moisture or late spraying may reduce control or crop selectivity.

The label specifies only one application. If weeds escape, identify the species and reason for escape instead of automatically repeating Atrazine or increasing the dose.

The label states a 24-hour re-entry period and does not list a numerical pre-harvest interval in this table. The purchased pack label remains the final authority.

• Verify maize or sugarcane, the target weed spectrum and the treated hectare area.
• Calculate the formulation quantity from the crop-specific label rate; a 500 g pack is not automatically an acre dose.
• Wear label-specified PPE and prevent dust inhalation while measuring.
• Dilute in clean water according to the leaflet and use the full 500–700 L/ha spray volume.
• Use calibrated high-volume equipment with a flat-fan or flood-jet nozzle, as described on the label.
• Avoid rainy, windy or hot sunny weather, drift, runoff and use near aquaculture.
• Keep people and animals away for at least 24 hours after application.

Repeated Group 5 use can favour resistant weed populations. Combine chemical control with clean seed, crop rotation, timely cultivation where suitable, field scouting and prevention of weed seed return. A different-mode product may be considered only when it is independently labelled for the crop, weed and application stage. Use with caution where groundwater is high. Never apply to another crop based on a general web claim, and do not repeat or raise the dose to compensate for missed timing.

Avoid inhalation and skin or eye contact. Store locked in the original container away from children, food, feed, heat and flame. Never reuse the empty pack; dispose of it as directed by the label and applicable rules.
