Larvae need chitin to build a new cuticle during moulting. Chlorfluazuron interferes with chitin biosynthesis, so susceptible larvae cannot complete normal development. This is not the same as the rapid nerve action of a knockdown insecticide. Apply at the early larval stage identified on the label and allow the growth-regulator effect time to develop.

Atabron is an IRAC Group 15 product. Avoid treating successive pest generations only with Chlorfluazuron, Novaluron, Lufenuron or another Group 15 active. If a further treatment is needed, rotate to an effective product from a genuinely different IRAC group whose own current Indian label covers the same crop and pest. Rotation products are applied separately; no tank mix is implied.

The Government label specifies application from the vegetative to reproductive stage and 2–3 sprays depending on infestation. These directions are not a routine spray calendar; scout the field and follow the current Atabron pack.

1. Confirm the label use: Match cotton or cabbage, the target pest and the crop stage before opening the container.
2. Measure accurately: Calculate the formulation amount from the actual hectares treated and the applicable label row.
3. Premix: Measure the required quantity and mix it well with a small amount of clean water.
4. Complete the tank: Add the premix to the partly filled sprayer, add the remaining water while agitating and maintain a uniform emulsion.
5. Apply evenly: The label identifies knapsack, compression-knapsack and battery compression-knapsack sprayers. Obtain thorough crop coverage without excessive run-off or drift.
6. Observe intervals: Keep people and animals out for 24 hours and respect the crop PHI. Record every application.

Compatibility: Do not assume that Atabron can be mixed with another pesticide. Tank mixing requires explicit current-label support or qualified crop-specific advice.

• Read the complete label and leaflet and wear all required personal protective equipment while measuring, mixing, applying and cleaning equipment.
• Avoid inhaling spray mist or solvent vapour and prevent contact with the skin, eyes and mouth. Do not eat, drink or smoke during handling.
• Do not spray in strong wind or other unfavourable conditions. Use clean water and prevent drift to people, animals, adjacent crops and water.
• Prevent concentrate, spray liquid, rinsate and empty containers from entering wells, ponds, canals or drains.
• Store locked in the original labelled container away from children, animals, food, feed and seed. Never reuse the empty container.
• If exposure or illness occurs, follow the label first-aid directions, obtain urgent medical help and show the label or container.
