1. Uniform seed coating: the measured formulation is distributed over the specified weight of seed.
2. Systemic uptake: as the seed germinates, Thiamethoxam is available to the developing seedling.
3. Feeding disruption: susceptible pests taking up the active ingredient experience disruption of normal nerve signalling at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
4. Early-season role: protection is directed at the crop–pest combinations stated on the label; it is not a substitute for continued field scouting.

Rates below are expressed per kilogram of seed. Water-per-hectare and foliar PHI columns are not applicable to this seed-dressing use.

• Weigh the seed: base the dose on the actual kilograms of seed to be treated.
• Calculate precisely: multiply the crop-specific ml/kg rate by seed weight. Do not convert this into a spray-per-acre rate.
• Use suitable treatment equipment: place seed in a dedicated seed-treatment drum, machine or labelled procedure that achieves even coverage.
• Coat uniformly: add the measured formulation as directed and mix until seed is consistently treated without wet clumps.
• Dry and sow as labelled: handle treated seed with gloves and follow the leaflet’s drying and sowing instructions.
• Never use treated seed as food or feed: mark it clearly and keep it separate from grain intended for people or animals.

Thiamethoxam is an IRAC Group 4A insecticide. Seed treatment is one part of an integrated pest-management plan. Scout the crop after emergence, protect beneficial organisms and avoid repeated Group 4A exposure where another effective, labelled mode is appropriate. Thiamethoxam can be hazardous to aquatic organisms and bees. Prevent treated seed, dust, spills and rinsate from reaching water bodies. Wear the label-required gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and respiratory protection. Avoid skin, eye and inhalation exposure. Store locked in the original container away from children, food, feed and seed intended for consumption. Dispose of containers and treated-seed waste under the label and applicable rules.
