Apropo - Azoxystrobin 7.1% w/w + Propiconazole 11.9% w/w SE - ADAMA
Apropo Fungicide | Azoxystrobin 7.1% + Propiconazole 11.9% SE
A two-active fungicide with rice sheath-blight guidance; confirm the complete crop-specific directions and
harvest interval before application.
Rice disease fit: For rice, identify sheath blight and follow the permitted
vegetative-to-reproductive crop window. Do not use a general list of fungal symptoms as a substitute for
diagnosis.
Exact formulation matters: Match Apropo and Azoxystrobin 7.1% w/w + Propiconazole
11.9% w/w SE on the supplied Indian pack. This is a manufactured combination, not a recipe for mixing separate
fungicides.
Check before measuring: The rice amount and water references below do not by
themselves provide a complete application programme. Resolve the current pack’s harvest interval and every crop-specific
condition before treating the crop.
Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits
-
🌾 Rice sheath-blight fit: Provides a
crop-specific fungicide option for sheath blight when the supplied Apropo pack permits that use.
-
🎯 Early disease focus: Rice guidance ties
treatment to initial disease appearance within the vegetative-to-reproductive stage, rather than an arbitrary calendar date.
-
🍃 Foliar application option: The rice use is
applied to the crop with a hand-operated knapsack sprayer and clean water; it is not a seed-treatment or soil-drench recipe.

How It Works: Mode of Action
-
Interrupts fungal respiration: Azoxystrobin acts at the Qo site of mitochondrial complex III, interfering with electron transport
in susceptible fungi.
-
Reduces the energy supply: Disruption of respiration limits the energy available for normal fungal growth. This is a consequence of
azoxystrobin’s action, not a third mode of action.
-
Disrupts membrane formation: Propiconazole inhibits C14-demethylase in sterol biosynthesis, interfering with production of the
sterols needed for fungal cell membranes.
The formulation contains two active ingredients with two different target sites. Group 11 fungicides have a
high resistance risk, with cross-resistance within the group. It does not eliminate resistance risk or guarantee recovery of damaged
tissue. Account for both FRAC Groups 11 and 3 in resistance planning; changing brands while retaining the same groups is not a
different-mode rotation. Follow the pack’s application limits and use effective, permitted alternatives.
Target Crops & Diseases
Use only crop–disease pairs expressly permitted on the supplied current Indian Apropo pack. Rice guidance below
is for sheath blight. Check wheat permission separately before considering that use; the rice method, stage and quantities must not be
copied to wheat.

Yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici), only if expressly permitted on the supplied current pack |
This is not permission to treat every disease on rice or wheat. Do not add blast, powdery mildew, vegetable
blights or other crops by borrowing a different product’s programme.
Dosage & Application Guide
Rice references: resolve all harvest directions before application
For rice sheath blight, the product-amount reference is 500 ml/ha, approximately 202.34 ml/acre. The
water-volume reference is 500 L/ha, approximately 202.34 L/acre. These area quantities are not a per-litre or tank recipe and are not
a complete recommendation to apply.
The rice method is foliar application with a hand-operated knapsack sprayer. The first-treatment guidance is
initial disease appearance during the vegetative-to-reproductive stage. Both the disease condition and crop stage must fit; one is not
an alternative to the other.
Do not apply until the supplied current pack confirms the exact harvest interval, amount, method, stage and all
restrictions for the intended use. Missing or unclear harvest information does not mean immediate harvest is allowed. The rice
re-entry period is 24 hours; that is not the harvest interval.
Where the complete current rice directions permit repeat treatment, the stated frequency is 2–3 sprays based on
infestation. Do not turn that conditional range into automatic scheduled spraying or invent a repeat interval. Avoid application at
crop maturity or immediately before harvest.
The pre-harvest interval is the time from the final application to harvest. Worker re-entry and
repeat-treatment intervals are separate. The wheat row does not supply a product amount, water volume, first-treatment stage or
harvest interval for that crop.
How to Apply: Best Practices
-
Confirm the pack and crop: Check Apropo, both active ingredients, their concentrations and the SE formulation. Confirm the exact
crop and disease; do not substitute another brand, concentration or overseas label.
-
Choose the rice stage correctly: Assess the crop and disease before treatment. For rice sheath blight, follow initial disease
appearance within the vegetative-to-reproductive window, subject to all current pack directions.
-
Prepare and calibrate equipment: Use clean water and the pack-specified mixing sequence. Calibrate the hand-operated knapsack
sprayer and use the prescribed hollow-cone nozzle for the rice foliar use. Do not interchange foliar spraying, soil application or seed
treatment.
-
Choose suitable conditions: Prefer early morning or evening, follow the pack’s wind and weather precautions, and avoid extreme
weather. Avoid spray drift. No fixed rainfast interval is implied.
-
Keep mixture permission explicit: Do not combine pesticides, fertilisers or adjuvants unless both current labels permit the exact
crop, method and partner combination. Physical compatibility alone does not establish crop safety, efficacy or permission.
-
Record and observe intervals: Record crop, field, disease, area, application date and product quantity. Keep people and animals out
of the rice treatment area for at least the stated 24-hour re-entry period and follow any additional pack restrictions. Maintain the
separate harvest and repeat-treatment safeguards.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Which disease does the rice guidance concern?
It concerns rice sheath blight. Diagnose the disease and check the supplied current Apropo pack before use.
A rice listing does not automatically cover blast, rust or other symptoms.
2. Can I apply using the product and water references alone?
No. For rice sheath blight, the references are 500 ml product/ha and 500 L water/ha, approximately 202.34 ml
and 202.34 L per acre respectively. Confirm the full current pack directions, including the harvest interval, before application. Do
not turn these figures into a tank or per-litre recipe.
3. Is the 24-hour re-entry period also the harvest interval?
No. Re-entry controls access to the treated area. The pre-harvest interval runs from the final application
to harvest and must be separately established from the supplied current pack. Unclear harvest instructions do not allow immediate
harvest.
4. Should I always spray two or three times?
No. The rice frequency of 2–3 sprays is conditional on infestation and the complete current pack directions.
It is not an automatic calendar programme or a reason to invent a repeat interval.
5. Can I use the rice directions for wheat or tank-mix Apropo?
Do not transfer the rice quantities, stage or method to wheat. Use wheat only if the supplied current pack
expressly permits the exact use and gives complete directions. A proposed tank mixture separately requires both current labels to
permit the crop, method and partner combination.
