Dhanuka Apply Pymetrozine 50% WG Insecticide

Dhanuka Apply is a selective insecticide containing Pymetrozine 50% WG, registered in India for management of brown plant hopper (BPH) in paddy.

Its systemic and translaminar movement helps the active ingredient reach feeding sites. Pymetrozine quickly inhibits hopper feeding, so crop damage can stop before the affected insects die gradually. Use this product only on the crop, pest and dose stated on the current label.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose Dhanuka Apply?
  • Focused BPH management: Registered specifically for brown plant hopper control in paddy.
  • Feeding inhibition: Stops hopper feeding soon after exposure, helping limit continued plant injury.
  • Systemic and translaminar action: Moves within treated foliage and reaches hidden feeding locations.
  • Selective mode of action: IRAC Group 9B chemistry provides a distinct option for resistance-management rotation.
  • Water-dispersible granules: The 50% WG formulation is designed to disperse in spray water when mixed as directed.

Product scienceHow It Works
  1. Uptake: The spray deposit is taken up by treated plant tissue and moves systemically and translaminarly.
  2. Feeding stops: Pymetrozine disrupts the hopper's feeding coordination through its IRAC Group 9B action.
  3. Population declines: Exposed brown plant hoppers stop feeding and then die gradually, reducing further feeding damage.

Because visible mortality may not be immediate, judge performance by the reduction in active feeding and follow the label-directed observation period. Do not repeat the same mode-of-action group continuously; rotate with effective products from a different IRAC group according to local advice.

PHI = pre-harvest interval, the minimum time between the last application and harvest. The registered active-ingredient dose is 150 g a.i./ha. Always follow the current pack label if it differs.

How to applyApplication Guide
  • Timing: Apply when brown plant hopper infestation reaches the locally recommended action threshold; avoid calendar spraying.
  • Placement: Direct the spray toward the lower portion and base of rice plants where hoppers commonly feed.
  • Mixing: Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, add the measured product while agitating, then add the remaining water. Maintain agitation for even dispersion.
  • Coverage: Use calibrated equipment and enough spray volume for thorough, uniform coverage without runoff.
  • Frequency: The reviewed leaflet allows no more than two sprays. Follow the current label and local resistance-management guidance.
  • Resistance management: Rotate with a registered insecticide from a different IRAC group. Rotation does not mean tank mixing.
