Propineb acts at multiple sites in fungal metabolism. Formulation-level technical information describes interference with respiration, carbohydrate and protein metabolism and cell membranes, together with inhibition of spore production and germ-tube development. Because the product acts by contact, it protects only surfaces reached by the spray; it does not move throughout the plant or automatically protect unsprayed new growth.

  • For a wettable powder, first disperse the measured product in a small amount of clean water, then add it to the tank while agitating and complete the required water volume.
  • Maintain agitation and obtain even coverage; contact fungicides protect only where spray deposits reach.
  • Use label-approved fungicides from different FRAC groups as separate rotation options where needed.
