• Label-approved broad spectrum: Registered uses include selected mildews, anthracnose, fruit rot and blights across five crops.

Azoxystrobin blocks electron transfer at the Qo site of the fungal cytochrome bc1 complex. This interrupts mitochondrial respiration and reduces the energy available for spore germination and fungal development. Group 11 fungicides are high resistance risk and show cross-resistance within the group, so Amistar should not be used repeatedly without rotation.

1. Deposition: Foliar spray forms a treated zone across the crop canopy.
2. Respiration inhibition: Azoxystrobin interferes with fungal energy production at the Qo site.
3. Disease management: Early or preventive treatment suppresses susceptible pathogens before heavy infection develops.

Syngenta's branded mixing guidance is 1 ml/L using a minimum of 200 L water/acre. The crop-specific table and current pack label take priority.

• Timing: Apply when disease is first observed or preventively where disease risk is known.
• Frequency: The inspected label provides 2–3 sprays at 7–14-day intervals according to need and label limits.
• Coverage: Use calibrated equipment and enough water for thorough canopy coverage.
• Conditions: Avoid spraying above 30°C, during afternoon heat, at crop maturity or immediately before harvest.
• No unverified crops: Rice, wheat and broad “all vegetables” claims are not included in this table.
• No tank-mix recommendation: Use Amistar as directed. Any alternative shown in recommendations is a standalone choice governed by its own label.

FRAC classifies Group 11 as high resistance risk, with cross-resistance among Group-11 fungicides. Use preventively or very early, avoid repeated Group-11-only sprays, stay within label limits and alternate with a separately registered fungicide from a non-Group-11 mode of action that covers the same crop and disease. Integrate resistant varieties, sanitation, canopy management and disease monitoring.

Read and follow the current label. Wear gloves, protective clothing, mask, goggles and boots; avoid skin, eye and inhalation exposure. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling. Azoxystrobin is toxic to honeybees and aquatic organisms, so avoid bee-foraging periods and keep spray, drift and runoff away from water bodies and aquaculture. Wash exposed skin and contaminated clothing after use. Store locked in the original container away from children, food, heat and flame. No specific antidote is known; treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
