Almagor - Azoxystrobin 5.1% w/w + Tebuconazole 9.1% w/w + Prochloraz 18.2% w/w EC - ADAMA
Almagor | Three-Ingredient Fungicide
ADAMA Almagor combines azoxystrobin 5.1% w/w, tebuconazole 9.1% w/w and prochloraz 18.2% w/w in an EC
formulation for permitted fungal diseases in rice, chilli and black gram.
Crop fit: Rice, chilli and black gram, with their disease lists kept separate
below.
Disease-management purpose: Protecting new growth and limiting further disease
spread does not restore dead or badly damaged plant tissue.
Formulation matters: Use the exact three-ingredient EC formulation. Do not
substitute a two-ingredient mixture or a product with different strengths.
Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits
-
🌱 Protection of new growth: Helps protect
new growth against the fungal diseases permitted for the crop when used at the correct treatment stage.
-
🍃 Management of disease spread: Provides
activity for limiting further disease spread without promising recovery of dead tissue or a cure for every infection.
-
🌾 Several crop-specific disease targets: Can
address more than one listed fungal disease within a permitted crop use, rather than requiring the same disease to be present in every
crop.

How It Works: Mode of Action
-
Azoxystrobin affects fungal energy production: The Group 11 ingredient inhibits mitochondrial respiration at the Qo site of the
cytochrome bc1 complex, interfering with fungal energy supply.
-
Tebuconazole affects fungal membranes: This Group 3 ingredient inhibits C14-demethylation during sterol production, disrupting the
formation of normal fungal cell membranes.
-
Prochloraz acts at the same sterol pathway: Prochloraz is also a Group 3 sterol-demethylation inhibitor. Its different chemical
family does not make it a third mode of action.
The mixture combines FRAC Groups 11 and 3. It is not resistance-proof, and another product containing either
group is not automatically a different resistance option. Follow crop-specific resistance advice and application limits; no guaranteed
duration or single-treatment result is implied.

Match each disease to its crop and current Almagor pack permission. Similar-looking damage may have a different
cause; fungal disease control does not establish treatment for bacterial disease, viruses, nutrient deficiency or insect
injury.
Dosage & Application Guide
Disease Identification & Application-Stage Checks
Before treatment, identify the crop and disease and establish the current pack’s first-application stage or
condition, method, commercial product amount, water volume and harvest interval together. Protecting new growth is a product purpose,
not a substitute for a precise crop-specific treatment window.
Do not transfer a programme from another azoxystrobin mixture or from an Almagor formulation sold for another
market. EC describes the formulation, not permission for soil drenching, seed treatment or another application route. Never turn a
missing interval into an assumption of immediate harvest.
How to Apply: Best Practices
-
Confirm the disease: Distinguish rice blast from sheath blight, and keep chilli and black gram disease uses separate. Seek crop
advice if the symptoms are uncertain.
-
Follow the crop’s treatment window: Use the stage or condition specified on the current pack. Do not replace it with an invented
first-symptom rule, fixed day after sowing or automatic calendar spray.
-
Keep the full programme together: Measure the exact commercial product and water for the same treated area, using the specified
application route and equipment. Tank capacity alone is not an area rate.
-
Prepare and apply carefully: Follow the EC mixing, agitation, coverage, nozzle, weather and drift directions. Prevent contamination
of nearby crops, water and drains.
-
Plan resistance management: Account for both Groups 11 and 3 in previous and future treatments. Three ingredients do not remove the
need for permitted alternation and disease-management practices.
-
Record harvest and mixture limits: Record treatment and follow harvest, re-entry and further-application restrictions. Use a
mixture only when both current labels permit the proposed combination for the crop and use. Physical compatibility alone is not
permission.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are there three different modes of action?
No. Azoxystrobin belongs to FRAC Group 11. Tebuconazole and prochloraz both belong to Group 3, so the
mixture has two groups across three ingredients.
2. Can Almagor restore leaves already killed by disease?
No. Protection of new growth and management of further spread should not be read as restoration of dead or
badly damaged tissue. Identify the disease and follow the permitted treatment window.
3. Does the rice programme apply to chilli or black gram?
No. The disease, product amount, water, application stage and harvest interval must be matched to the
selected crop. Do not treat the crop list as one shared programme.
4. Can it treat bacterial or viral symptoms?
This is a fungicide. The listed fungal disease uses do not establish treatment for bacterial disease,
viruses, nutrient deficiency or insect damage.
5. Can I add another fungicide or replace one component?
Do not alter the ready-made composition. A proposed mixture must be permitted by both current labels for the
crop and use. Another product sharing Group 11 or 3 is not automatically a different resistance-management choice.
Safety & Disclaimer
Before you use it: Read the current Indian Almagor label and leaflet before handling or use,
including crop-disease permission, application stage, mixing, route, protective equipment, weather, re-entry, harvest, first-aid,
storage and disposal directions.
Wear the protective clothing and equipment required on the pack. Prevent skin, eye and mouth contact and
inhalation exposure, including dust, spray mist, fog or vapour as applicable. Do not mix with bare hands or eat, drink, smoke or
chew while handling or applying the product. Wash thoroughly afterwards, including contaminated clothing, and keep people and
animals away from treatment as directed.
Keep the product in its original labelled container, secured away from children, food and feed. Prevent
contamination of water, drains and non-target plants. Follow the pack’s equipment-cleaning and disposal directions and local
requirements; never reuse empty pesticide containers. If exposure or illness occurs, stop work and seek medical help promptly with
the product label. Follow professional medical advice rather than attempting an improvised antidote.
