FungicidesADAMA Almagor Fungicide: Product Overview
ADAMA Almagor is an emulsifiable-concentrate fungicide containing Azoxystrobin 5.1% w/w, Tebuconazole 9.1% w/w and Prochloraz 18.2% w/w. Its registered Indian crop directions cover selected diseases in rice, chilli and black gram. The three active ingredients represent two FRAC modes of action: Group 11 plus Group 3.
This page uses the crop, disease, dose, water volume and PHI stated in the registered-use data. Do not extend the recommendation to unlisted crops or diseases.

6 topicsWhy farmers choose itWhy Choose Almagor?
- Three-active formulation: combines Azoxystrobin, Tebuconazole and Prochloraz in one EC product.
- Two complementary FRAC modes: Azoxystrobin is Group 11, while both Tebuconazole and Prochloraz are Group 3 DMIs.
- Crop-specific registration: directions cover rice blast and sheath blight, multiple chilli diseases, and black gram leaf spot and powdery mildew.
- Defined rates and PHIs: each crop has a clear product rate, water volume and harvest interval.
- Resistance-aware use: three actives do not guarantee that resistance cannot develop; follow the label and a locally appropriate rotation programme.

Product scienceHow It Works
Azoxystrobin is a FRAC Group 11 QoI fungicide that blocks mitochondrial complex III respiration at the Qo site. Tebuconazole and Prochloraz are both FRAC Group 3 DMI fungicides that inhibit CYP51/C14-demethylase and disrupt fungal sterol biosynthesis. Almagor therefore contains three actives but only two FRAC groups—not three completely different modes.
How to applyRegistered Crops, Diseases, Dose & PHI
| Crop | Label disease(s) | Dose/ha | Water/ha | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rice | Blast and sheath blight | 1,750 ml | 500 L | 40 days |
| Chilli | Anthracnose leaf spot, dieback, fruit rot and powdery mildew | 1,250 ml | 500 L | 10 days |
| Black gram | Leaf spot and powdery mildew | 1,250 ml | 500 L | 35 days |
PHI means the minimum interval between the last spray and harvest. Follow the hectare rate and calibrated water volume; do not replace them with an unverified universal pump dose.
How to applyApplication & Resistance Management
- Confirm the crop and disease before application and use only the corresponding label rate.
- Apply at the timing stated on the current pack label and achieve uniform foliar coverage without runoff.
- Measure the EC accurately and maintain a uniform spray mixture.
- Do not treat three active ingredients as proof against resistance. Observe FRAC Group 11 and Group 3 stewardship and use a label-approved rotation where advised.
- Related and Upsell products are alternatives or rotation choices only; never infer tank-mix compatibility from their placement.
