Syngenta Alika Insecticide: Product Overview

Syngenta Alika is a ZC combination insecticide containing Thiamethoxam 12.6% and Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5%. It combines a systemic neonicotinoid (IRAC Group 4A) with a pyrethroid sodium-channel modulator (IRAC Group 3A) for label-approved sucking and chewing pests.

Thiamethoxam (IRAC 4A) is a systemic nicotinic acetylcholine receptor competitive modulator. Lambda-Cyhalothrin (IRAC 3A) is a pyrethroid sodium-channel modulator with contact and ingestion activity. Together they target the sucking and chewing pests named on the label. This combination does not prevent resistance automatically; rotate later treatments outside both groups where the label and local guidance allow.

  • Identify the crop and target pest, then use only the corresponding current-label direction.
  • Apply as a calibrated foliar spray and achieve uniform coverage without runoff.
  • Avoid treatment while bees are actively foraging and prevent drift onto flowering vegetation.
  • For subsequent applications, rotate with a product outside both IRAC Groups 4A and 3A that is registered for the crop and pest.
