Bayer Alanto Thiacloprid 21.7% SC Insecticide

Bayer Alanto is a suspension-concentrate insecticide containing Thiacloprid 21.7% SC. Its verified Indian crop-use scope covers specified insect pests in cotton, rice, chilli, tea, brinjal, soybean and apple.

Thiacloprid is an IRAC Group 4A neonicotinoid. It acts as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor competitive modulator, disrupting normal insect nerve signalling. The group number supports resistance planning; it is not a safety grade and does not guarantee control.

Use the current physical Alanto pack and leaflet as the final authority. Match the crop and pest exactly, then follow its rate, water volume, timing, maximum applications, re-entry direction, waiting period, protective equipment, first aid and environmental precautions.

How to applyApplication and Resistance Stewardship
  • Confirm the crop, pest and need for treatment before application; similar symptoms can have a different cause.
  • Measure the current label rate and calibrate label-permitted equipment for uniform coverage at the directed water volume.
  • Do not improvise a per-litre, 15-litre pump or tank concentration from the hectare table.
  • Count Alanto as Group 4A. Acetamiprid, Imidacloprid, Thiamethoxam and other Group 4A products are not different-mode rotations.
  • If another treatment is justified, use a different-group product only where its own current label independently matches the crop, pest and timing.
  • No recommendation card authorizes tank mixing, simultaneous application, layering or an automatic sequence.
