Coromandel Ajanta Super Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC Insecticide

• Two active ingredients: Profenofos 40% and Cypermethrin 4% in an emulsifiable-concentrate formulation.
• Registered cotton use: Labelled for the cotton bollworm complex.
• Contact and stomach action: Susceptible insects are exposed through treated surfaces and feeding.
• Two IRAC groups: Group 1B organophosphate plus Group 3A pyrethroid chemistry.

Profenofos is an IRAC Group 1B acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Cypermethrin is an IRAC Group 3A sodium-channel modulator. Together, the active ingredients disrupt normal nerve function in susceptible insects through complementary mechanisms after contact with the spray or ingestion of treated plant material.

A premix containing two active ingredients is not resistance-proof. Repeated use can still select insect populations resistant to one or both groups. Follow the current label and rotate with an effective product from a different IRAC group that is registered for the same crop and pest. Store recommendations are alternatives, not instructions to tank mix products.

PHI means the minimum interval between the last application and harvest. Coromandel's product booklet gives a brand dose of 400–500 ml per acre; the registered-use table above is expressed per hectare. Follow the current Ajanta Super pack label if it differs. Do not create a per-litre dose without using the label-specified spray-water volume.

• Identify the pest: Use only for the cotton bollworm complex and at the timing directed on the current label.
• Measure accurately: Use calibrated equipment and the registered formulation rate and water volume.
• Coverage: Apply evenly to the intended cotton canopy while avoiding drift, runoff and contamination of water.
• Weather: Follow the pack label for wind, rain and temperature restrictions; do not assume a fixed rainfast period.
• Mixing: Do not assume compatibility with another pesticide, fertilizer or adjuvant. Tank mix only where every current label permits it.
• Harvest: Observe the 14-day PHI or the longer interval stated on the supplied label.
