Agrostar Perpendi Xtra (Pendimethalin 38.7 % CS ) 700ml
Perpendi Xtra Herbicide by AgroStar | 700
ml
Perpendi Xtra is a selective pendimethalin 38.7% CS herbicide
for susceptible annual grasses and broadleaf weeds as they germinate. It is not a treatment for perennial or well-established
weeds. Its directions are not interchangeable with Perpendi 30% EC. This listing is the 700 ml pack.
What it controls: The crop-specific weeds below in chilli, cotton, cumin,
groundnut, mustard, onion and soybean, subject to the leaflet’s germination-stage limitation.
When to use it: Use the separate pre-emergence windows for cotton and transplanted
chilli/onion. Soybean uses pre-plant incorporation into soil, not a borrowed post-sowing spray schedule.
What to include: A fine, firm, clod-free seedbed, the measured product and water
for the actual area, appropriate equipment and protective clothing.
Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits
-
🌱 Germination-stage weed control: Targets
susceptible annual grasses and broadleaf weeds as they germinate, before they become established.
-
🧪 Capsule-suspension formulation: Uses a
38.7% CS formulation. This formulation identity does not make it interchangeable with a 30% EC product.
-
🎯 Separate crop programmes: Cotton,
transplanted chilli, transplanted onion and soybean each keep their own first timing and harvest interval.

How It Works: Mode of Action
Pendimethalin is a Group 3 herbicide that interferes with
microtubule assembly and cell division during early weed development.
-
Early weed growth: Acts on susceptible weeds as they germinate. The leaflet states that it does not control perennial or
well-established weeds.
-
Correct soil placement: A fine, firm, clod-free field supports even placement. Use soybean incorporation only as directed; the
other displayed programmes use their own pre-emergence application.
-
Formulation is not a new mode of action: The CS formulation still contains pendimethalin. Switching from Perpendi EC to Perpendi
Xtra CS does not change HRAC Group 3.
Plan integrated weed management with a qualified agronomist. Do
not rely on repeated use of one mode of action or increase the rate to compensate for established weeds. A different pack, brand or
formulation is not automatically a different resistance-management group.
Target Crops & Weeds
Keep each crop paired with its own listed weeds and planting
method. These target names do not remove the leaflet’s limitation: Perpendi Xtra does not control perennial or well-established weeds.
The onion programme below is for transplanted onion.

Dosage & Application Guide
The four numerical programmes below are separate uses, not one
shared application schedule. Their product and water quantities are the same, but crop, placement, first timing and harvest intervals
must remain correctly paired.

Chilli and onion method and first timing: For transplanted
chilli and onion, apply just before transplanting or within 3 days of transplanting as a pre-emergence application. Their harvest
intervals differ: keep each crop paired with its own row.
Cotton method and first timing: Apply before sowing or
within 3 days after sowing for pre-emergence weed control. Do not substitute the EC product’s timing or harvest
interval.
Soybean method and first timing: Use pre-plant
incorporation. Incorporate the product into the top 2–5 cm of soil with a suitable farm implement before planting; do not replace this
with an unlabelled post-sowing spray.
Other listed crops: For cumin, groundnut and mustard,
obtain complete exact-crop product, water, first-timing, route and harvest directions before treatment. Do not borrow a numerical
programme or timing from the four crops above.
Units and waiting periods: Acre values are approximate
conversions using 1 acre = 0.40468564224 hectare. Retain the original hectare figures in each row for area-based measurement. PHI is
the minimum interval from the last application to harvest, not a worker-entry interval. Confirm worker entry separately; no universal
litre or tank recipe is supplied.
How to Apply: Best Practices
-
Confirm the crop and stage: Identify the crop, planting method and target weeds. Use the pre-emergence programmes only at the
specified stage; do not expect control of perennial or established weeds.
-
Prepare the field: Make the field fine, firm and free of clods before application. Do not treat uneven placement as a reason to
raise the rate.
-
Mix with water as directed: Shake well before use. Mix the required product in a bucket containing water with adequate stirring,
then add the remaining specified water with agitation. Do not mix with bare hands.
-
Use suitable equipment: Use a high-volume knapsack or foot sprayer fitted with a flat-fan nozzle. Clean the sprayer thoroughly
before and after use and avoid spraying against the wind.
-
Keep soybean incorporation separate: For soybean, incorporate into the top 2–5 cm of soil before planting. Cotton, transplanted
chilli and transplanted onion follow their own timing notes above.
-
Do not add incompatible partners: AgroStar says not to mix this product with fungicides or insecticides. Do not treat that
restriction as approval for any other tank mix; follow the supplied product directions. The SDS also identifies strong alkaline materials,
acids and oxidizers as materials to avoid.
-
Protect water and respect harvest: Do not use near water bodies, aquaculture or pisciculture. Prevent runoff and washings from
entering water. Keep the exact crop’s PHI and confirm worker-entry instructions separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Perpendi Xtra contains pendimethalin 38.7% CS, not 30% EC. Product quantity, timing and harvest intervals cannot be exchanged. Both remain HRAC Group 3.
No. The leaflet states that it does not control perennial or well-established weeds. The named target list must be read with the germination-stage application limit, not as a promise of control at any growth stage.
No. The displayed programme follows the leaflet’s transplanted-onion instructions. Do not transfer it to a nursery or direct-sown crop without the exact suitable directions.
No. The soybean directions specify pre-plant incorporation into soil. Cotton has its own before-sowing or early post-sowing pre-emergence window. Keep each method and harvest interval separate.
No. AgroStar specifically says not to mix with fungicides or insecticides. Do not assume other mixtures are permitted; follow the supplied directions and crop-specific advice.
Safety & Disclaimer
Before you use it: Read the supplied Perpendi Xtra 38.7% CS label and leaflet. Use only on listed crops
and weeds at the specified germination stage. Keep crop, planting method, product, water, first timing and harvest interval
together. Do not borrow Perpendi 30% EC instructions.
Toxic to aquatic organisms. Do not use near water bodies, aquaculture or pisciculture. Keep spray,
spills, runoff, equipment washings and containers out of drains, streams and other water bodies.
Wear full protective clothing, suitable chemical-resistant gloves, boots and eye or face protection.
Avoid breathing mist and avoid skin and eye contact. Do not mix with bare hands, eat, drink or smoke while handling. Wash
exposed skin and contaminated clothing after use.

unborn child and is suspected of damaging fertility. Prevent exposure and follow the supplied safety instructions. After
exposure, seek medical attention and show the product container, label or safety data sheet. Do not induce vomiting and give
nothing by mouth to an unconscious person. Remove contaminated clothes, wash skin with soap and water, rinse exposed eyes
thoroughly and move an inhalation casualty to fresh air.
Store tightly closed in the original container, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, locked place away from
children, fertilisers, seed, food, feed, direct sunlight, fire and sparks. Do not reuse empty containers. Follow the
supplied-label disposal directions and local waste rules. Do not interpret the formulation as harmless or as a guarantee of
crop safety, zero residue, no evaporation or fixed-duration control.
