Adora Herbicide | Bispyribac-Sodium 10% SC

A selective, systemic post-emergence herbicide for specified grass, sedge and broadleaf weeds in rice. Nursery, transplanted and direct-seeded rice require their own complete directions.

Match the rice system: Check the actual weeds, their growth stage and the nursery, transplanted or direct-seeded use permitted by the supplied current Indian pack.

Keep field water in the programme: Obtain the exact directions for field water before and after treatment. Do not create a drainage, reflooding or water-retention schedule from a general spray description.

Check the selected pack: Pack options include 10 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml and 1 L. Confirm the selected pack before ordering; pack size is not an application amount.

Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits

  • ๐ŸŒพย ย Rice-focused weed control: Designed for selective weed control in rice nursery and main-field situations, not general field or garden clearing.
  • ๐ŸŒฑย ย Targets emerged weeds: Post-emergence activity addresses weeds already growing. The particular rice system and weed stage still determine the permitted treatment.
  • ๐ŸŽฏย ย Several weed categories: Covers specified grasses, sedges and broadleaf weeds; identify the species rather than assuming every weed in a category is susceptible.
  • ๐Ÿƒย ย Systemic uptake: The active ingredient enters through weed foliage and roots. This describes uptake, not permission to add the product to irrigation water.

How It Works: Mode of Action

  1. Enters growing weeds: Following the permitted treatment, bispyribac-sodium is absorbed through weed foliage and roots and acts systemically.
  2. Disrupts amino-acid production: It inhibits ALS, an enzyme needed to make certain essential amino acids. These are building blocks for proteins needed by growing plant tissue.
  3. Restricts normal growth: Susceptible weeds cannot maintain normal growth as this pathway is disrupted. The appearance and progress of injury depend on the weed and conditions, not a fixed knockdown time.

These are linked processes of one mode of action, not three different modes. Changing from Adora to another HRAC Group 2 product is not automatically a resistance rotation. Combine field observation, good crop establishment and suitable non-chemical measures; do not exceed the pack rate to overcome survivors. No fixed residual period or complete control of resistant weeds is guaranteed.

Target Crops & Weeds

Use only the rice system and exact weeds permitted on the supplied current Indian Adora pack. The first row lists common weed names; the system-specific entries are separate pairings, not interchangeable treatment instructions.

Crop
Target weeds
Rice
Jungle rice; cockspur; variable flat sedge; rice flat sedge; lesser fimbristylis; false daisy; linear-leaf water primrose; pickerel weed; wedge wort.
Rice nursery
Echinochloa crusgalli and Echinochloa colonum.
Transplanted rice
Ischaemum rugosum, Cyperus difformis and Cyperus iria.

Direct-seeded rice also requires its own exact weed, timing and field-water directions. Do not transfer a nursery or transplanted-rice programme to it, or assume the combined common-name list supplies every system-specific permission.

Dosage & Application Guide

Resolve field-water conditions before applying

No complete product-dose programme is given here. Before application, obtain the system-specific product amount, spray water, method, first-treatment conditions, field-water instructions and harvest restriction from the supplied current Indian pack. Measure the formulated SC product in millilitres; never substitute an active-ingredient amount or a tank-size guess.

For a permitted nursery use against Echinochloa crusgalli and Echinochloa colonum, the timing reference is 10โ€“12 days after sowing. For permitted transplanted rice against Ischaemum rugosum, Cyperus difformis and Cyperus iria, it is 10โ€“14 days after planting. In both cases, most weeds must already have emerged and reached the 3โ€“4-leaf stage, with soil and climate considered. These conditions go together; they do not replace the missing field-water directions.

Separate spray-water reference: 300 L/ha, approximately 121.41 L/acre, applies to the corresponding permitted nursery, transplanted and direct-seeded rice uses. This is spray water, not standing field-water depth, a product quantity, a complete application programme or a per-litre recipe.

Separate restrictions: the harvest interval for permitted transplanted and direct-seeded rice is 78 days from the final application. Do not assume a zero harvest interval for nursery use. Keep the single-application restriction and 24-hour worker re-entry interval separate from harvest timing; do not make a calendar repeat programme.

Do not apply until the supplied pack resolves the entire programme, including field water before and after treatment. The timing, spray-water and harvest references above do not supply the missing instructions. No universal drainage, reflooding, water-retention, rainfast or direct-seeded treatment interval is implied.

How to Apply: Best Practices

  • Identify and inspect: Match Adora and Bispyribac-sodium 10% SC, the rice establishment system and actual weeds. Seek qualified advice about unidentified weeds or survivors of earlier ALS-inhibitor treatments.
  • Resolve water management: Follow the exact pack directions for field water before and after treatment. Root uptake does not authorise irrigation delivery, and spray-water volume does not determine the field-water schedule.
  • Use the specified spray method: For the corresponding permitted use, the method is foliar spraying with a high-volume knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat-fan or flood-jet nozzle for thorough coverage. Calibrate output and area; do not double treated strips or interchange soil application and seed treatment.
  • Mix and maintain coverage: Once the complete pack programme is available, shake the bottle, measure the required product, mix with a small amount of clean water and add the remaining specified water with agitation. Do not mix with bare hands. Morning or evening is preferred; avoid high winds or forecast heavy rain and follow all pack weather precautions.
  • Require mixture permission: Do not add another herbicide, fertiliser or adjuvant unless both current labels permit the exact crop, method and proposed combination. A jar test alone does not establish permission, crop safety or performance.
  • Protect surroundings and review: Prevent drift to neighbouring plants, irrigation channels and natural water. Clean equipment by the pack procedure before another crop. Record the crop, field, weeds, area, date and product quantity; assess survivors rather than adding an unapproved repeat.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Adora a pre-emergence herbicide?

No. It is a post-emergence rice herbicide. Nursery and transplanted-rice day windows must also meet the stated emerged-weed and 3โ€“4-leaf conditions, plus the complete current pack directions.

2. Can one rice programme cover nursery and main field?

No. Nursery, transplanted and direct-seeded rice are distinct uses. Keep their exact weeds, product amount, stage, field-water management and harvest requirements together; the separate references here are not a complete dose programme.

3. Does 300 L/ha tell me how much water to retain in the field?

No. That is spray-water volume, approximately 121.41 L/acre. It does not state standing-water depth or when to drain, reflood or retain water. Resolve those directions from the exact supplied pack before applying.

4. Is the 78-day interval a repeat-treatment interval?

No. It is the time from the final application to harvest for the corresponding permitted transplanted and direct-seeded rice uses. The single application and 24-hour worker re-entry restrictions are separate. An unstated nursery harvest interval does not mean immediate harvest is allowed.

5. Will it control every grass, sedge and broadleaf weed?

No. Those are categories, not universal susceptibility claims. Identify the weed and rice-system pairing, and do not increase the amount or add an unapproved partner to overcome poor control.
