Adonix Neo Insecticide by AgroStar | 500 ml

AgroStar Adonix Neo is an insect growth regulator and pyrethroid combination for whitefly in cotton. This listing is the 500 ml pack.

Active ingredients: Pyriproxyfen 10% w/w + Bifenthrin 10% w/w EC.

What it controls: Whitefly in cotton.

Check the formulation: Adonix Neo differs from Adonix (pyriproxyfen 5% + diafenthiuron 25% SE). Do not interchange their directions.

Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits

  • 🎯  Cotton whitefly control: A crop-specific option for the whitefly use stated on the product leaflet.
  • 🌱  Growth-regulating activity: Pyriproxyfen affects immature whiteflies and adult reproductive capacity.
  • ⚡  Adult whitefly action: Bifenthrin provides the pyrethroid component for adult whitefly control.
  • 🔬  Two modes of action: Groups 7C and 3A combine growth-regulating and nerve-targeting activity.

How It Works: Mode of Action

The two ingredients act differently on susceptible whiteflies. Their combination does not remove the need for correct timing, coverage or resistance management.

  1. Pyriproxyfen, Group 7C: A juvenile hormone receptor modulator that disrupts insect development. The leaflet describes nymph control and reduced adult reproductive capacity.
  2. Bifenthrin, Group 3A: A pyrethroid sodium channel modulator that disrupts normal nerve signalling. The leaflet describes adult whitefly knockdown.
  3. Plan for both groups: Choose label-approved rotation partners with a qualified crop adviser, considering both 7C and 3A. A brand change alone is not a change of mode of action.

Target Crops & Pests

Use the crop and pests specified on the supplied label. This is not an all-crop or all-pest recommendation.

Dosage & Application Guide

The quantities below are for the formulated product, not the active ingredients. Use only for the cotton pests in the target table, by the application method and timing below.

Acre quantities are approximate conversions of the leaflet’s hectare rates, not separately labelled rates. One hectare is approximately 2.471 acres. The original hectare quantities are retained in the table. Do not treat the pack size as a one-acre dose or turn these figures into a universal per-litre or per-pump recipe.

Timing and entry: Apply when whiteflies first appear, before the economic threshold level is reached. The leaflet specifies three sprays at 15-day intervals, depending on infestation; this is not an automatic spray schedule. Keep people out of the treated area for the separate 12-hour re-entry period.

Pre-harvest interval (PHI): Wait 19 days from the final spray to harvest. The harvest interval is separate from worker re-entry.

How to Apply: Best Practices

  • Check the use: Match Adonix Neo, the crop, whitefly and the current supplied label. Do not use on unlisted crops or pests, or for post-harvest treatment.
  • Use the correct equipment: Apply as a foliar knapsack spray with a hollow-cone nozzle, calibrated to deliver the stated product and water quantities with uniform coverage.
  • Mix in stages: Add the measured product to one quarter of the required water with agitation. Add the rest of the water while agitating; ensure even dispersion and maintain agitation during spraying.
  • Choose suitable conditions: Use clear, calm weather without rain or strong winds. Prevent drift and avoid spraying during bloom or when bees are present.
  • Respect timing and limits: Use field monitoring and qualified crop advice to assess pest appearance and the economic threshold. Follow the stated conditional repeat schedule, harvest interval and re-entry period.

Do not assume tank-mix compatibility. Use only label-permitted mixtures with product-specific advice; incompatible materials can injure the crop.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Adonix Neo the same as Adonix?
No. Adonix Neo contains pyriproxyfen 10% + bifenthrin 10% EC. Adonix contains pyriproxyfen 5% + diafenthiuron 25% SE. Their doses and other instructions must not be exchanged.
2. Is the 500 ml bottle a one-acre dose?
No. Pack volume is the sale quantity. The cotton leaflet rate is 600 ml/ha, approximately 243 ml/acre. Measure the treatment area and follow the complete programme, including water and restrictions.
3. Does it treat crop disease?
This is an insecticide for the specified cotton whitefly use, not a fungicide or a cure for viral disease. Disease severity is not a reason to repeat treatment.
4. Can I mix it with any other pesticide?
No blanket tank-mix recommendation applies. Use only mixtures permitted by the relevant labels and obtain product-specific advice. A jar test alone does not establish label approval, crop safety or effectiveness.
5. Are harvest waiting time and re-entry the same?
No. The cotton harvest interval is 19 days after the final spray. The leaflet gives a separate 12-hour re-entry period. Observe both and follow the supplied pack’s restrictions.

Safety & Disclaimer

Before you use it: Read the current supplied label and leaflet, and match the crop, pest, formulation, dose, water, route, timing and all restrictions. If the pack differs from this overview, resolve the difference with the supplier or a qualified crop adviser before use. This page does not authenticate an individual pack or replace label directions.

Wear the label-specified protective clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, boots and eye/face protection. Avoid spray inhalation and contact with skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling. Wash after use and clean contaminated clothing. Keep children and unprotected people away.

Protect bees and water. Do not spray during bloom or when bees are present. The product is very toxic to fish; do not use near aquaculture. Keep product, drift, spills and equipment washings out of drains and water bodies. Store the original closed container in a cool, dry, ventilated, locked place away from children, food and feed.

Never reuse empty packaging. Follow the current label and local disposal requirements. If exposure or illness occurs, seek urgent medical help and show the product pack or label.
