How It Works: Mode of Action
Ethion and cypermethrin interfere with pest nerves in different
ways.
- Ethion: Blocks the enzyme that normally stops a nerve signal, causing signals to build up.
- Cypermethrin: Disrupts the electrical signals passing along nerves.
- Pest control: The resulting nerve disruption prevents normal movement and activity. Contact with the treatment and feeding are
routes of action.

Application Requirements
Harvest interval: Allow 15 days between the last treatment
and cotton harvest, and 10 days for chilli. These intervals do not replace the crop-specific application directions.
Post-harvest restriction: Do not apply after
harvest.
How to Apply: Best Practices
- Foliar treatment: Use a suitable sprayer for crop foliage, such as a knapsack, compression-knapsack, battery-operated or foot
sprayer.
- Prepare the spray safely: This is an emulsifiable concentrate, not a ready-to-spray liquid. Follow the supplied dilution
directions; do not use food utensils or mix with bare hands.
- Avoid exposure: Do not spray into the wind. Keep spray away from people, food and animal feed.
- Protected spaces: For a polyhouse or other confined area, use only the specific directions supplied for that setting; do not assume
open-field directions apply.
