How It Works: Mode of Action

Pretilachlor works as susceptible weeds germinate, rather than as a treatment for established weeds.

  1. Acts early: Pretilachlor targets susceptible weeds as they germinate.
  2. Interrupts growth: It blocks the production of very-long-chain fatty acids needed for normal weed development.
  3. Controls emerging weeds: This action prevents susceptible weed seedlings from developing normally.
