Item description

Envexa Herbicide by AgroStar | 30 ml

Envexa is a selective, early post-emergence herbicide for the listed grassy and broad-leaved weeds in maize. Its topramezone suspension concentrate is applied with the specified MSO adjuvant. This listing is the 30 ml pack.

What it controls: The listed grasses and broad-leaved weeds in maize.

When to use it: Apply after weeds emerge, when they are at the 2–3-leaf stage.

What to include: The measured Envexa dose, matching spray water and MSO adjuvant at 2 ml per litre of water.

Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits

  • 🌽  Maize-specific weed control: Controls the listed maize weeds, helping reduce their competition with the crop.
  • 🌱  Grass and broad-leaf coverage: The leaflet includes both grassy and broad-leaved weed species.
  • 🎯  Early post-emergence timing: Treats emerged weeds at the 2–3-leaf stage, rather than being a pre-sowing treatment.
  • 💧  Suspension concentrate: A liquid formulation measured in millilitres and dispersed in the specified spray water.

How It Works: Mode of Action

Topramezone is an HPPD-inhibiting herbicide. Its mode of action is classified as HRAC Group 27.

  1. Treat emerged weeds: Apply the spray at the specified early weed stage and cover the target foliage evenly.
  2. Block HPPD activity: Topramezone inhibits an enzyme involved in the pathway that produces protective plant pigments.
  3. Disrupt pigment protection: Susceptible weeds lose normal pigment protection and their growth is affected. This mode of action does not make the product suitable for unlisted crops or every weed stage.

Plan resistance management using HRAC Group 27, not brand names alone. Follow the supplied label and local agronomic guidance; changing to another Group 27 product is not a change of mode of action.

Target Crops & Weeds

The maize programme below is for this leaflet-listed target set. Do not extend it to another crop or assume that all grasses and broad-leaved weeds are covered.

Target Weed(s)

  • Grasses: Eleusine indica; Digitaria sanguinalis; Dactyloctenium aegyptium; Echinochloa spp.; Chloris barbata.
  • Broad-leaved weeds: Parthenium hysterophorus; Digera arvensis; Amaranthus viridis; Physalis minima; Alternanthera sessilis; Convolvulus arvensis; Celosia argentea.

Dosage & Application Guide

Use the product and water quantities together for the measured field area. MSO adjuvant is part of this programme, not an optional addition.

Add MSO adjuvant at 2 ml per litre of water, as the leaflet directs. This is the adjuvant concentration, not an Envexa per-litre dose.

Apply as an early post-emergence spray when weeds have 2–3 leaves. Keep the maize crop, listed weeds, product range, water volume, MSO requirement and timing together.

The acre quantities are approximate conversions of the original hectare programme shown above. Do not use the pack size as a tank dose or substitute a universal per-pump recipe.

PHI means the interval between the last application and harvest: allow 83 days for maize. Follow the supplied label for worker entry and any further application; do not assume immediate entry or a fixed repeat schedule.

How to Apply: Best Practices

  • Check the crop and weeds: Use only for the maize weeds listed in the supplied label. Check the weed growth stage before spraying.
  • Measure the treatment area: Select 75–100 ml product with 375 L water per hectare, or the corresponding approximate acre quantities. Do not exceed the label rate.
  • Shake and prepare: Shake the container well. Prepare the measured suspension concentrate in water according to the supplied leaflet and keep the mixture evenly dispersed.
  • Include the required adjuvant: Use MSO adjuvant at 2 ml per litre of water. Confirm the adjuvant identity; do not replace it with an unspecified sticker or a different product based only on brand similarity.
  • Apply at the right stage: Spray emerged weeds at the 2–3-leaf stage with uniform coverage. Avoid drift onto neighbouring crops and water sources.
  • Check any proposed tank mix: Do not add atrazine, an insecticide, fertiliser or another adjuvant unless the supplied labels support the exact mixture and use. The single-product programme above is not a tank-mix recipe.
  • Protect handlers and harvest timing: Pregnant women should avoid contact with topramezone formulations. Follow protective-equipment and entry directions, and keep 83 days between the last spray and maize harvest.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which crop is Envexa for?
The leaflet programme is for maize and its listed grassy and broad-leaved weeds. It is not an all-crop or all-growth-stage herbicide.

2. Does Envexa need an adjuvant?
Yes. The leaflet specifies MSO adjuvant at 2 ml per litre of water. That figure is for the adjuvant, not for Envexa itself. Use the area-based Envexa and water quantities above.

3. Can I mix Envexa with Atraz or use a standard pump dose?
Do not treat a retail kit or pump recipe as the single-product directions. Use a mixture only when the supplied labels support the exact products, rates and crop use. Do not calculate a universal tank dose from pack size.

4. Is the 30 ml pack a fixed one-acre dose?
No. The 30 ml figure is the sale quantity. The leaflet specifies 75–100 ml per hectare, approximately 30.4–40.5 ml per acre, with its matched water volume and MSO requirement.

5. When should I spray, and how long before harvest?
Apply at the 2–3-leaf stage of the weeds. Leave 83 days from the last application to maize harvest. The harvest interval does not replace worker-entry directions.

Safety & Disclaimer

Before you use it: Read the current supplied pack label and leaflet. Match the crop, weed, formulation, product rate, water, adjuvant requirement, method, timing, harvest interval and all restrictions. Use only as directed for agriculture. This overview does not replace the supplied label or authenticate an individual pack.

Wear the label-required protective clothing, suitable gloves, footwear and eye or face protection. Avoid breathing spray mist and contact with skin, eyes or mouth. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while handling. Wash exposed skin and contaminated clothing after use. Keep children, animals and unprotected people away.

Pregnant women should avoid contact with topramezone formulations. Envexa is very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects: prevent spray drift, spills and washings from entering ponds, drains or other water sources. Store tightly closed in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, locked place, separate from food and animal feed.

Do not reuse empty containers. Dispose of unused product, washings and packaging according to the supplied label and local authorised requirements without polluting soil or water. If exposure or illness occurs, stop work, seek urgent medical advice and show the container, label or safety data sheet. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a medical professional.
